Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas

Chicken Fajitas are flavorful and so easy to make. This cooking method is my favorite way to prepare it. All of your ingredients will go on a sheet Pan. Then baked in the oven. Chicken fajitas are made with thin sliced seasoned chicken breast, bell peppers, and onions. These chicken fajitas are served with warm tortillas. You can also serve with rice or beans. This recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners, or when you want to prepare something quick and easy! Let’s jump into the recipe!

Sheet Pan Fajitas

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Chicken Breast or sliced chicken tenderloin
  • 1-2 limes
  • 1 red or yellow onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow or orange bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup of mild sauce, or you can use a few splashes of hot sauce if you desire. (you can find the mild sauce in the mexican section at your grocery store)
  • A few cloves of fresh garlic chopped or minced garlic (optional)
  • olive oil or cooking oil
  • sheet pan/ baking pan
  • Seasoning used on the chicken: garlic powder, chili powder, cumin powder, onion powder, black pepper( I used about 1 tbsp of each), 1 goya chicken packet or your choice of chicken seasoning
  • These seasonings are optional, use your own blend or buy a fajita seasoning packet

Directions

  1. Clean and then butterfly cut the chicken breast. Cut the chicken and thinly slice.
  2. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
  3. Add oil ( at least 2 tbsp), mild sauce, and seasonings to the chicken. Mix in good. Place to the side.
  4. Get the onions and bell peppers julienne cut.
  5. Place vegetable on baking sheet(spread out evenly). Drizzle olive oil, and add garlic over the veggies.
  6. Add the chicken on top of the vegetables. Squeeze lime juice over the chicken and vegetables. Then, place in oven uncovered for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, take a tong or a cooking spoon and mix the chicken in with the vegetables.
  7. Place back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes. While the chicken is finishing, start warming up the tortillas.
  8. Serve the fajita chicken hot over tortillas. Add your favorite toppings!
