Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 bottle of pasta sauce of your choice

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 box 16oz Lasagna Pasta

  • 1 – 32oz Ricotta cheese

  • 1 tbsp of Sour cream

  • 1 eggs

  • 1 bag of Shredded Mozzarella

  • 1- bag of Shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan (optional) cheese

  • 2 tsp sugar add to meat sauce(optional)

  • 1 tbsp of fresh chopped garlic (optional)

  • 1 green bell pepper (optional)

  • 1 onion ( optional)

Directions

  • First, prepare the meat sauce. Get the bell pepper, and onion chopped if adding . I place these vegetables in pan with ground beef for more flavor. I also season my my meat while cooking with a seasonings listed above. When ground beef is done cooking , drain oil if needed then add pasta sauce. Set to the side.
  • While meat is cooking, cook lasagna pasta in a boil pot of water. Should take about 5-6 minutes * I don’t cook my lasagna pasta all the way*. Drain and let cool.
  • Next in a mixing bowl add ricotta, sour cream, parmesan, 1 egg. Mix everything together.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Now it’s time to layer our lasagna! In a baking dish or aluminum foil pan, cover bottom with some of the meat sauce. Then add your first layer of lasagna pasta, go straight across(the long way). You will need 4-5 lasagna pasta per row. Make about 3 layers.
  • Spread ricotta mix on each pasta, then meat sauce, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Repeat this until your last layer and all meat sauce is gone. On the last layer add remaining sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheese covering the entire top.
  • Place in oven covered for 45 minutes, and uncovered for last 10- 15 minutes or until cheese is melted really good!
  • Let sit for about 7 -10 minutes before slicing and serving.
