In every layer will have a tasty bite of meat sauce! Lasagna is great for family dinners, holiday and special gatherings, because it’s one of those dishes that can feed alot of people. Ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, eggs, sour cream

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef

  • 2-3/24oz bottles/ cans of pasta sauce

  • 2 boxes 16oz Lasagna noodles

  • 2- 32oz Ricotta cheese

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup Sour cream

  • 2 eggs

  • 2-3 packs of Mozzarella slices or 2- 16 oz bags of shredded

  • 2- 16 oz bags of Shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 tsp sugar add to meat sauce(optional)

  • 1 tbsp of fresh chopped garlic (optional)

  • 1 green bell pepper (optional)

Directions

  • First, prepare the meat sauce. Get the bell pepper, and onion chopped if adding . I place these vegetables in pan with ground beef for more flavor. I also season my my meat while cooking with a seasonings listed above. When ground beef is done cooking , drain oil if needed then add pasta sauce. Set to the side.
  • While meat is cooking, cook lasagna pasta in a boil pot of water. Should take about 7-8 minutes for pasta to cook. Drain when done and set pasta to the side. I suggest cooking by 5-6 strips at a time.
  • Next in a mixing bowl add ricotta, sour cream, parmesan, 2 eggs. Mix everything together.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Now it’s time to layer our lasagna! In a large baking dish or aluminum foil pan, cover bottom with some of the meat sauce. Then add your first layer of lasagna pasta, go straight across(the long way). You will need 2-3 pasta per row. Make about 4 layers.
  • Spread ricotta mix on each pasta, then add cheddar cheese, sliced mozzarella, then meat sauce. Repeat this until your last layer and all meat sauce is gone. On the last layer add remaining sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella and cheddar cheese covering the entire top.
  • Place in oven covered for 1 hour, and uncovered for last 15- 20 minutes or until top brown. Take Lasagna out of oven.
  • Let sit for about 7 -10 minutes before slicing and serving.
