garlic powder, black pepper, 1 packet of chicken goya seasoning, garlic and herb
Ingredients
1 head of cabbage ( cabbage comes in all sizes, I chose a small head to feed at least 4 people)
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow onion
2 strips of bacon cut in half or into small pieces (you can use more bacon if your prefer ) Bacon is optional if you want a meatless cabbage, just add few tbsp of your choice of cooking oil
Directions
- First, cut up your cabbage then rinse/wash your cabbage. Also dice your onion and bell pepper.
- Next, place your bacon in a pan and cook on medium. ( I always add a little olive to pan) Also, I usually cook my bacon but not crispy. Cooking oil is optional since the bacon will make grease.
- Next, add your onion and bell pepper to pan. Adding your chicken seasoning to it as well. Let your onion and bell pepper cook stirring as needed for about 5 minutes.
- Now, start adding your cabbage and seasonings
- On medium high, keep stirring your cabbage until they are tender/ soft. Your cabbage should take about 20- 30 minutes. *Add water or broth as needed while cooking*.
