How to bake the perfect steak!

There is nothing like a juicy and tender piece of baked steak! I know when you think of steak, your thinking grilled or seared in a pan. Plus, everyone likes steak cooked to their liking. This can range from medium rare, medium, medium well done, well done. We like our steaks well done at my house but still tender and full of juices. You can achieve your preference of steak by cooking time. When I bake my steak, it’s for at least 1 hour and cooked, uncovered for about 7-10 minutes. If you still like your meat a little red, I suggest cooking for 45-50 minutes covered and then taking steak out of oven.

What you will need!

  • 1 pack of steak, I used Ribeye Steak(2 pack)
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2-3 bulbs of fresh garlic
  • At least 1/2 cup of zesty Italian dressing
  • Herbs/seasonings used(optional): garlic powder, rosemary, onion powder, beef bouillon, black pepper, garlic & herb ( I used about 1 tbsp each on both steaks)

Easy Steps!

  1. Make sure the steaks are thawed out. Then season both steaks on each side. If you prefer just salt and pepper on your steaks, skip my seasoning suggestions.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  3. Chop up fresh garlic to add to the steaks . Use a baking dish or aluminum foil pan to put steaks in( add a little cold water to the bottom of the pan). Cover the steaks with baking lid or aluminum foil. Place in oven for about 50-60 minutes. You can check halfway during cook time to see if the meat is cooking to your liking. Remember, these steps are idea for a well-done steak.
  4. Take out steaks, and add Italian dressing on each. Then cut butter in half, add a piece on each steak. This is optional: add a little bit of dash garlic & herb on top of each butter. Add steaks back in oven uncovered for about 7-10 minutes. Enjoy!
