One Pan Cabbage and Sausage

This One Pan Cabbage and Sausage recipe is so simple and delicious. Definitely one of my weeknight dinner go to when I don’t want to be in the kitchen more then a hour. It’s always a plus when I have smoked sausage Links left in the fridge. This meal takes at least 30 minutes to make and about 5 minutes of prep. You can eat this meal by itself or add it to rice. Let jump into this easy recipe.

Seasonings used:

garlic and herb, 1 packet of chicken bouillon, black pepper, red chili flakes, browning seasoning sauce

Sausage and Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Smoked Sausge Links, or your choice of sausage

  • 1 head of cabbage

  • 1 yellow onion

  • 1 bell pepper (optional)

  • 1 tbsp of fresh chopped garlic (optional)

  • Vegetable oil or your choice of oil ( few tbsps)

  • water (if needed)

Directions

  • First get your vegetables chopped: Cabbage and onions. Then slice your choice of sausage link. ( Don’t forget to rinse Cabbage!)
  • Next, take out your pan and turn stove on medium heat. Add at least 2 tbsp of oil. When oil starts to heat, add sausage and onions, and fresh garlic or garlic powder.
  • Let sausage and onions saute for about 5 minutes, then start adding cabbage. You can add seasonings I mentioned above or your own seasoning blend after adding Cabbage.
  • Now is the easy part. Turn stove down some and stir together cabbage and sausage. Let everything cook for at least 10 minutes covered, check at 5 minutes to give a stir if needed. Also add water if needed, the cabbage usually holds water when rinsed.
  • When done cooking , cabbage should be soft and flavorful! Serve right away or turn stove down low.
