Ingredients
1lb of ground beef
1 Yellow onion or use 1/2 (diced small)
1/2 cup Italian Bread crumbs (Add more as needed) ⭐I used Walmart brand⭐
1 egg
Mozzarella cheese ( I used a 1/2 block, cut into 10 small cubes)
Optional: Simmered Meatballs in 1 jar of pasta sauce
Directions
- First, prepare meatballs by adding ground beef in a mixing bowl. Mix around beef some to loosen up, then add Seasonings. At least 1 tablespoon of each or season to taste.
- Next, add 1 egg, diced onion, and bread crumbs, mix meat real good making sure its nice a firm to make balls.
- Take out a baking sheet, line sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil, coat with baking spray oil. Also, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Now, take scoops of the meat to make medium small balls with your hand, then with your thumb make a imprint right in the middle and add a mozzarella cube. Fold meat over cube , then roll into a firm ball again.
- Place each ball on greased baking sheet, put in oven for 30 minutes. While your meatballs are cooking start making pasta and get your pasta sauce started as well.
- When the meatballs are done, take out of oven and transfer each meatballs to pasta sauce and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Add more mozzarella or parmesan on top if desire then serve over pasta.
