We love an easy homemade pizza recipe at my house! These pizza pockets are delicious and very easy to make. This fun recipe is perfect for family pizza night; and it makes a great lunch or dinner meal. You can even make these for parties or an appetizer! It only takes up to 15 minutes to bake. Pizza pockets will need 4 main ingredients: pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and meat. This recipe is versatile with what you choose to add and take away. I bought the dough already prepared, but you are more than welcome to make a homemade one. I used pepperonis for this recipe, but you can also use chicken, sausage, or beef. For a vegetarian pizza pocket, just remove the meat and add some veggies like, mushrooms, onions, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Let’s jump into this easy pizza recipe!

13-15 minutes
Italian seasoning, garlic powder
Add parmesan on top after brushing olive oil, Italian seasoning and garlic powder, before baking
Ingredients
1 classic crust Pizza Dough ( I used Pillsbury)
1 small bottle of pizza sauce or pasta sauce
1 8oz bag of mozzarella cheese( I only used half the bag)
1 cup of pepperonis
1/2 cup of olive oil
Directions
- Take out prepared dough, unroll on a flat non-stick surface. Take your fingers and smooth the dough out a little. ( I lay the dough on parchment paper so it doesn’t stick)
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Slice dough in to 6 squares. Then start adding pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperonis.
- Fold the dough squares over from one side to the other. You should have a rectangle like shape, make sure the pizza pocket is closed. Take a fork and close the open ends. ( if you are particular about baking neat, you can transfer the pizza pockets to an clean nonstick baking sheet before placing in oven)
- Last, brush or use a spoon to put olive on top, at least 2-3 tsps on each pocket. Then any seasonings or extras you want (seasonings, parmesan cheese). Place the pizza pockets in the oven for 13-15 minutes. Let Cool for 3-5 minutes before serving.
