Smothered porkchops with onion

Ingredients

  • Pack of bone-in thin sliced porkchops( boneless thick cut works well too) I used a pack of 3 pork chops, increase depending on how many in your family or feeding

  • 1 yellow onion

  • 1-2 tbsp of Fresh garlic ( minced works fine too!)

  • 2 tbsp of Flour

  • 1 cup of Chicken broth or 2 tbsp of chicken bouillon mixed with water

  • At least 1 cup of Olive or vegetable cooking oil

Directions

  • First, take your porkchops out, rinse and pat dry, season with seasonings I have listed or you can choose your own.
  • Take a pan, add oil to cover bottom, stove should be on medium high heat.
  • When oil is heated, take your seasoned pork chops, add them to pan. Frying on both sides for about 5-7 mins. While your pork chops are frying, start chopping your onions and garlic.
  • Take your cooked pork chops and set to the side. Turn your stove down to medium.
  • Add your onions and garlic, stir and let them cook for about 2-3 minutes. While your onions are cooking, mix your broth in cup or pour about a cup of broth to set to the side.
  • Take, about 1 tablespoon of flour and sprinkle over your onions and garlic. Mix together until flour is dissolved.
  • Now, add your broth and mix.
  • Start adding your porkchops into the gravy, let simmer for about 15 minutes on medium low.
