If you never had beef short ribs boneless or bone in, you have came to the right food blog! These boneless beef ribs is a comfort food recipe that is so flavorful! Almost makes you feel fancy when making them, especially when you add delicious red wine! I had a bottle of Pinot Noir in the fridge, which is a great choice for this recipe. The way I cook these tender ribs is a braised method! First, I seared the ribs on the stove top, then set them to the side. In the same pan I add my vegetables and fresh garlic, and browning sauce. I saute that in then add the red wine. Last, I add my ribs to a baking dish and pour the vegetable mix right on top! The ribs are then baked for at least 2 hours. Sounds easy, right? Let’s jump into the recipe.

Ingredients
2 packs of Beef Chuck Country Style Ribs/boneless
At least 1/2 cup of cooking oil (I used Olive oil)
1 yellow onion
1 whole or 2 small carrots
3 cloves of fresh garlic peeled
1 tbsp of Browning Sauce -Banquet(optional)
Beef bouillon- at least 1-2 tbsp
2 tbsp of flour (1 tbsp can be used to sprinkle flour over seasoned ribs before searing, the other for gravy mix)
1/2 cup of red wine ( I used Pinot Noir)
1 cup of water ( for gravy mix)
Directions
- First, rinse Beef Ribs and pat dry. Season the beef ribs and lightly shake flour over them. Rub in seasoning and flour to make sure whole beef is covered.
- Next, prepare the vegetables by chopping up onions, carrots and fresh garlic. (If using fresh carrots make sure to peel skin off and rinse)
- In a frying pan add cooking oil (make sure to at least cover surface of pan), turn stove on medium heat. When oil heats add beef ribs, and sear both sides for 2-3 minutes. Then set beef ribs to the side on a safe plate to let oil drip.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Next, in that same pan add your vegetables and garlic. Turn down heat to medium low! Saute for about 2 minutes then add browning sauce. Then add red wine. Let this simmer on low heat for about 2 minutes.
- Then add the beef ribs into a baking dish, and pour vegetable and wine mix over the beef ribs. Place in oven covered, let bake for 1 hour . At 1 hour, mix together the flour water and beef bouillon. Pour this into the baking dish (Take a spoon and move around the juice on the beef ribs, this will keep it tender). Now Bake for 1 more hour uncovered.
- When done your beef ribs will be so tender the meat will be falling apart! Serve over Mashed Potatoes or Rice. Enjoy!
