BBQ Chicken Sliders

Ingredients

  • 12 pack of Slider buns (use all 12 or save 6, this recipe is enough for 12 Sliders)

  • 1 pack of boneless and skinless chicken breast ( usually comes 3 a pack)

  • 1 – 18oz bottle of Barbecue Sauce ( I used half the bottle for 6 sliders)

  • 1/2 of red onion chopped

  • 6-10 Slices Cheddar Cheese ( only need about 6 slices if only making 6 Sliders)

  • 1/2 stick of melted butter (optional to go on top of buns)

Directions

  • First, Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Then clean and pat dry chicken breast. Season the chicken breast and place in aluminum foil, fold the aluminum foil in to cover the chicken. This will keep the chicken breast from becoming dry. Bake for at least 1 hour/20 minutes.
  • While, the chicken is baking dice up the red onion, set to the side.
  • When the chicken breast is done, let cool for about 5-10 minutes. Then take a fork, or whatever your comfortable with to shred the chicken.
  • In a bowl mix together the shredded chicken, diced onions and Barbecue Sauce. Mix in really good so that all of the chicken is covered.
  • In a baking pan place the bottom of the slider buns down. Place aluminum foil or parchment paper down if available. Start adding shredded chicken mixture on the bottom buns. Make sure the whole bottom bread is covered.
  • Now add cheddar cheese over the chicken mixture. I break each slice in half to make sure it fits evenly, this is optional of course!
  • Put top buns evenly over chicken and cheese. Then spread melted butter across the top buns. I add garlic powder and parsley to my melted butter, Taste so Good!!!
  • Oven should still be on, if not 350 degrees is what you will bake the Sliders on. Let Sliders Bake for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • When done the buns will be nice and toasted! Pull Apart Sliders or slice with a knife! Enjoy!!
