Easy Oven Baked Chicken

Classic oven baked chicken is super easy to make! Of course, this recipe isn’t anything new. But there are ways to perfect this delicious budget friendly dish. Oven Baked Chicken is a go-to for me at least twice out of the month. This method of making chicken just makes those work week dinner nights stress free. You will not need many ingredients, and can bake the chicken with or without bell peppers and onions. Baked chicken is a great family dinner dish to make for school weeks. You can even clean and marinate the chicken the night before. Then, place in oven when you are ready. Whenever you are in the mood for a easy chicken meal, these steps will have juicy chicken on the table in less than 2 hours. Let’s jump into the recipe.

Oven Baked Chicken Thighs and Wings

Seasonings used

garlic & Herb (dash), garlic powder, 2 packets of chicken bouillon(goya), paprika, chili powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, black pepper

Serving Idea

Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, green beans, salad, broccoli or your favorite dishes.

Marinated Chicken Thighs and Wings before cooking in oven

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of whole Chicken Wings, 1 pack of bone in Chicken Thighs ( optional, choose your favorite part of chicken to mix, or use just one pack)

  • Zesty or regular Italian dressing

  • 1 yellow onion (optional)

  • 1 bell pepper (optional)

  • parchment paper , aluminum foil (optional)

Oven Baked Chicken Wings and Thighs

Directions

  • Clean chicken, rinse with cool water and pat dry, before seasoning.
  • Season chicken with the seasonings I used above, or your own seasoning blend. I used at least 1 tbsp of the seasonings.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Add Italian dressing, massage into the seasoned chicken. I don’t measure the dressing, at least 2-3 squirts.
  • Place chicken in a oven safe baking dish, I align my baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil before adding chicken. I suggest adding chicken skin facing down first.
  • Cover chicken with lid or aluminum foil, bake in the oven for 1 hour, check chicken at about 45-50 minutes. I move my chicken around and make sure juices are flowing on the chicken pieces. At 1 hour flip chicken over to skin side and bake uncovered for 30 -35 minutes.
