Brown Gravy

Hello my loves, just wanted to drop a easy brown gravy recipe! This gravy can be made in less than 15 minutes. Let’s put a little flavor to your meat, or side dishes. I love this gravy over a nice bed of rice or mash potatoes. Let’s get into this quick recipe.

What you will need

  • Flour – 2 tbsp, add extra of needed
  • Water- 1 cup (cold)
  • Beef bouillon seasoning powder or packet (knorr and goya brand have a nice seasoning)
  • Black pepper -1 tsp
  • Garlic powder -1 tsp
  • Onion powder-1 tsp (if you have time chop 1 fresh onion)
  • Parsley flakes (sprinkle to your liking)
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil- 2 -3 tbsp or butter

How to make Brown Gravy

  1. First, in a pan or a small sauce pan add your oil and turn your stove on medium. (If using fresh onion or bell pepper add right now)
  2. While, your oil is heating, in a cup mix together water and bouillon.
  3. When your oil starts to warm, add your flour, mixing slowing with oil until a smooth like roux.
  4. Now, slowly add your mixed water and beef bouillon. Stirring until it starts to thicken. Also, add your extra seasonings, garlic,pepper etc. (Add more water if you dont want thick gravy or if needed). Turn on low or completely off when at your desire.
