This recipe is one for sure that you can add your own twist to. Or just keep it the classic way letting the tomatoes..ground beef and spices run the dish! Some even love to add cheese in goulash. I am definitely Some of those people😊 Cheddar cheese compliments this recipe so well. Such a easy and budget friendly meal that can stretch! Leftovers are a plus and will taste even better the next day with this old school dish. Let’s jump right into this easy recipe!

Seasonings used:

garlic powder, garlic and herb, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, Adobe all purpose, black pepper, couple pinches of sugar(optional)

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Jumbo elbow macaroni

  • 1lb ground beef

  • 1 can diced garlic and basil tomatoes

  • 1-2/ 24oz bottles of your favorite pasta sauce

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 1 Yellow onion

  • 2 tbsp beef bouillon or use 1 cup of beef broth

  • Fresh garlic (optional)

  • Top with Parmesan or cheddar Cheese(optional)

Directions

  • First get the onion and bell pepper chopped. Also, add water to a pot for macaroni, bring to boil.
  • Next, in a frying pan add a couple teaspoons of oil to bottom, let warm then add bell pepper and onion. Saute for about 5 minutes then add ground beef. ( Add seasonings into ground beef)
  • While ground beef is cooking add macaroni to boiling water, let cook til tender for about 10 minutes.
  • Next in a pot add cooked ground beef and diced tomatoes, mix then add beef bouillon. Mix again and add any other extra Seasonings you may want then add macaroni. Last add pasta sauce . Mix then cook goulash on low for about 20-25 minutes. Then serve!
