One Pan Chicken and Broccoli

One Pan Chicken and Broccoli is so delicious and easy to make! One of those meals that doesn’t have a whole lot of ingredients, but so flavorful. If your looking for a easy lunch or dinner meal idea this is it. You can try this recipe in your meal preps for the week! This one Pan Chicken and Broccoli is made with chicken breast. Your more than welcome to use chicken thighs too. The chicken is cut into pieces, then fried in olive oil. Onions, garlic and red bell pepper is then sautéed with the chicken. This dish is easy and great for family dinners. You can eat just the chicken and broccoli, or pair it with a side dish. Let’s jump into this delicious and quick recipe.

Seasonings used on chicken:

black pepper, garlic and herb(dash), turmeric, garlic powder, chicken bouillon ( these are optional, I used at least 1 tsp of each)

One Pan Chicken and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of boneless and skinless chicken breast (I used a pack of two breast )

  • 1 bag of frozen broccoli florets, use a whole small bag or half of a big bag(your welcome to use fresh)

  • 1 red bell pepper

  • 1 yellow or white onion

  • 1 tbsp of fresh or minced garlic

  • At least 1/4 cup of Olive oil (this is a healthier choice, use your preference of cooking oil)

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tsp of browning sauce (optional)

Sautéed Onions and Red Bell Pepper

Directions

  • First prepare chicken by cleaning chicken and cutting into cube size pieces. Then season the chicken pieces to your liking. In your pan cover bottom with olive oil. Set your stove to medium high heat. When oil starts to heat, add chicken. Let cook until chicken is done/ no more pink. Set chicken to the side to drain off oil.
  • While the chicken is cooking, steam broccoli in water! Also get your onions and bell peppers chopped. Make sure to drain water off broccoli when it’s done. I let my Broccoli steam for at least 6 minutes.
  • After you take the chicken out of the pan, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic to pan. Let saute for at least 1-2 minutes, (turn stove down some if needed). Then add Chicken and Broccoli to pan. Saute/ mix everything for about 1 minute on medium low heat, then add browning and soy sauce.
  • Mix everything to spread sauces out, then let cook covered on low heat for at least 7-10 minutes. Let Cool if you desire, then serve!
